With all the functions this machine has to offer, it quickly becomes clear that this price-performance ratio convinces us! The STEEL DUO PID is a fully equipped machine for the home barista striving for perfection.

The PID version enables absolutely professional coffee preparation: temperature adjustment, adjustable pre-infusion (0-5 seconds) and standby functions are possible. In addition, the PID display shows the water flow times during coffee extraction.

The dual-circuit espresso machine is equipped with two new high-performance thermoblocks made of stainless steel and aluminum. This means that the machine is at operating temperature after just 6-8 minutes and you can change the water temperature very quickly in 1°C increments. This is a clear advantage over classic portafilters with kettles, which often require 15 - 20 minutes to warm up.

The spacious cup shelf with railing and integrated cup heater is an additional feature that impresses. The water tank can be removed quickly and easily from the side. In addition, the water level is always clearly visible. With the 360° professional steam wand made of stainless steel, frothing milk is child's play. The machine also has a hot water outlet for tea or an Americano. With the portioning electronics you can define the amount of water for two portion sizes. This means, for example, you can decide whether you want to make a double or single espresso.

The optics are impressive

The appearance of the machine is also impressive and is definitely an eye-catcher in every kitchen. With this machine you can choose between stainless steel housings made of high-gloss Inox, matt black or painted white. The portafilter handle made of hardwood gives the machine a special elegance.

Additional highlights

Like the UNO PID, the DUO PID also has a 360° steam lance made of stainless steel. The steam is permanent, particularly powerful and is regulated via a toggle switch on the portafilter machine. Make burnt fingers when frothing milk a thing of the past thanks to the “no-burn” function. It prevents the steam pipe from heating up from the outside and is an outstanding feature. The integrated barista light, which illuminates the work surface of the portafilter machine, will be a special eye-catcher in your kitchen. There are 5 sieves with a diameter of 58 mm available: 2 sieves for ground coffee (1 and 2 coffees), 2 sieves for coffee with crema (Cream+ 1 and 2 coffees) and 1 sieve for single-dose coffee pods. An aluminum tamper is also included.

Advantage over the UN

In comparison to the Steel UNO PID, the Steel DUO PID has two water circuits, which is why it is referred to as a two-circuit portafilter machine. These two circles make it possible to obtain espresso and steam at the same time.
