With the ESPRESSO-SELECT, espressos and mixed milk drinks such as cappuccino or latte macchiato can be prepared in no time at all. The ESPRESSO-SELECT scores with its simple operation and a built-in thermometer. Thanks to the thermal block, the machine is quickly ready for use and comparatively energy-efficient.

Real espresso at home

Portafilter machines are built for the preparation of espresso. It is crucial that the water in the sieve encounters a resistance, so that a pressure of around nine bar is created at which the espresso is extracted. The result is a strong drink with about two to three times the amount of powder used as a drink in the cup. The high pressure also creates the hazelnut-brown layer of foam on the surface, the so-called crema. The BEEM ESPRESSO-SELECT fulfills everything that is important for preparing espresso. Thanks to the double-walled pressure screens, the machine is not sensitive to the degree of grinding or the exact amount. This is particularly recommended for beginners who do not use a high-priced grinder or who weigh each portion carefully. Instead, the ESPRESSO-SELECT also forgives the use of pre-ground espresso and always delivers a respectable crema.

Operation and features

The BEEM ESPRESSO-SELECT is extremely easy to use. When the tank is full, the machine is ready for use after switching the indicator light with the cup symbol lights up continuously. As soon as this is the case, the extraction of espresso can be started and stopped with the key with the cup symbol. To switch to steam mode, the steam button must be pressed. The machine then heats up to a higher temperature so that steam flows out of the steam lance instead of water. The thermometer gives an overview of the temperature when the espresso is drawn off. The surface on top of the machine can be used to preheat or keep cups warm. On the one hand, the locking function of the sieve inserts is particularly clever, so that they do not fall out when knocked out. On the other hand, the drip tray has a built-in float that indicates when the tray is full.
