Due to the resistance and the particularly fine pores of the Chemex filter, the sediments and oils that occur naturally in coffee are prevented from getting into the coffee. The Chemex natural paper filter is also 20-30% heavier and thicker than conventional paper filters. This results in an excellent balance between sweet and sour flavours, so that nothing stands in the way of coffee enjoyment. The coffee filters fit the Chemex carafes for 6, 8 and 10 cups.
