For the Ruby Hills espresso, FIRSTCRACK uses very special coffee beans from Thiha Gyawalie, who carefully plants and processes the Ruby Hills Farm coffee plants of the Arabic variety Catimor H528. At an altitude of around 1500 meters, the young coffee farmer works purely organically and has already received numerous awards with his coffees. The name Ruby Hills refers to the ruby fields surrounding the coffee farm in the Mogok area. After harvesting and wet processing, the raw coffee beans find their way into the roasting drum at FIRSTCRACK in Berlin.

For the Ruby Hills, FIRSTCRACK has developed a special roasting profile with a lot of know-how and great attention to detail, which makes the espresso a taste experience with a strong character. The light roast for espresso ensures that fewer roasted notes and more notes of origin can be tasted. The result is a particularly clear taste profile, which is characterized by fine, fruity acids and a pleasant sweetness with a balanced body.
