Medium roasted coffee beans from Ethiopia
Moyee's Double Espresso consists of 100 % Arabica coffee beans. It is a combination of washed limu beans and unwashed jimma beans, roasted to a medium degree in Ethiopia. The fruity flavors of the washed limu beans pair perfectly with the sweeter, warmer flavors of the jimma, creating an even balance. This blend gives the coffee warm, full-bodied cocoa flavors with a pinch of brown sugar and a hint of fruitiness.
Coffee cherries have ripened in the Ethiopian sun
The beans for Moyee's Double Espresso grow in the jungle at an altitude of 1,600-1,800 m. In this coffee region, biodiversity is preserved and you can even find monkeys in the trees. In Limu and Jimma, Moyee works with more than 650 farming families to generate a living income. After the harvest, the local FairChain farmers bring their ripe, red berries here. The berries are washed and then slowly dried. Some of the berries are left unwashed in the sun so the beans can absorb the sweet taste of the pulp. Mainly women process the double coffee. After processing, the green beans are roasted in our local roastery in Ethiopia. In this way, at least 50% of the value remains in Ethiopia.
