The Eleane Mierisch Funky Natural Espresso is a very special microlot from the El Limoncillo farm in Nicaragua. Only beans of the Ethiosar variety are picked for the espresso. This is a hybrid variety that resulted from a cross between Rume Sudan, Sarchimor and Villa Sarchi. The coffee cherries were prepared funky natural.

What exactly is funky natural? Funky natural is a very special fermentation of the coffee beans. The fermentation is pushed to the limit of overfermentation. The result is that the flavor profile tastes extremely fruity and exceptional.
Not only the quality of the espresso beans is extraordinary, the taste is just as extraordinary and outstanding! The sweetness of wine gums harmonize with spicy cinnamon and cascara. This very special espresso can be prepared in the portafilter, fully automatic machine and in the espresso pot.
