Volcanic soils

The Arabica beans of the Catimor variety come from Finca Santa Isabel, a coffee farm that was founded in 1899 by the German emigrant Frederico Keller, named after his wife Isabel, and has been run as a family business ever since. In the fourth generation, the coffee bushes are managed today by Alex and Martin. Volcanic soil, tropical climate and Pacific air conditions ensure the best growing conditions at altitudes of 1,200 to 1,400 meters.

Sustainable import

After harvesting, the beans are washed, processed and then imported by Wild Kaffee in upcycled denim sacks. The use of waste products as raw material saves CO² and also boosts the Guatemalan economy. In the local Farchant near Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the beans are refined with a medium roast. This gives the result in the cup a taste of milk chocolate with notes of dried apricots.
