Characterous taste
Coffee Circle's Tiga Terra is a blend, i.e. a mixture of coffee beans from different origins that are roasted together. At Tiga Terra, the green coffees roasted in Berlin come from Brazil, Indonesia and Guinea. The coffee beans from Guinea belong to the Robusta species, the remaining 60 % are Arabica coffee beans. The trio, which comes together in the drum roaster, results in a taste composition full of character. On the nutty-chocolate and low-acid base of the Brazilian beans, there are spicy components from the coffee beans from Indonesia and tart notes of dark chocolate from the beans from Guinea. As Robusta, the latter ensure a particularly full body and a creamy texture in the mouth.
The origin of the coffee beans
Coffee Circle buys the green coffees used directly from retailers. The main part of the Tiga Terra comes from the farm Daterra in Brazil. The Pascoal family grows coffee plants of various Arabica varieties there at an altitude of 1200 meters and dry-processes the harvested coffee cherries using a natural process.
Coffee Circle acts with great social awareness. The farmers receive high purchase prices and for every kilogram of coffee sold, the Berlin roastery invests 1€ in social projects in coffee regions in Africa and South America.
