The Eureka Mignon grinders are known, among other things, for their square bean container. This alternative bean container, on the other hand, is round and equipped with a way to get the last bit of ground coffee beans out. Between the lid and the funnel there is an accordion-like collar, through which the entire bean container works like a bellows. The blowing out of the grinder means that the next time you grind, there is no old ground coffee, only the desired fresh ground coffee. In contrast to the small single dose hopper, this bean container does not have to do without a spacious capacity of 250 grams.

Mixed workflow

The grinding of coffee or espresso beans essentially distinguishes between two schools. So-called on-demand milling is traditionally practiced. Here, the grinder waits with a full bean container to be used. The mill then grinds the desired amount or time and is immediately ready for grinding again. However, it should be noted that a certain amount of already ground coffee beans always remains in the grinder, which then falls out during the next grinding process. In contrast, a new approach has been established in recent years: single dosing. Each portion of beans is weighed individually and then ground completely. Bean containers with a bellows function, which also blow out the last residue of the ground material from the grinding chamber, are known from this area in particular. The Eureka Mignon Hopper Cleaning Kit also has such a bellows function, but offers enough space for 250 grams of beans. It is therefore suitable for a hybrid workflow in which grinding is carried out on demand with a full hopper, but the amount of coffee powder left behind is reduced with the air blast.
