Unique Coffee
For the Classico Espresso, the Italian roasting company illy mixes nine exquisite types of Arabica to achieve the unique taste. As a traditional roasting company since 1933, illy has the necessary know-how to mix reliably delicious blends - an art in itself. Fans of the tin can recognize the Classico directly by the red design. As the name suggests, the Classico is illy's most balanced roast, delighting most espresso heads. Every step, from the choice of green coffee to the conception of the unique roast profile, aims to achieve the perfect balance between acidity and bitterness. In the cup, the illy Classico presents itself as a harmonious espresso, the taste of which is characterized by a triad of tart notes with hints of orange, floral aromas reminiscent of jasmine and a caramel-like sweetness. As a whole bean, the espresso can be used in a variety of ways, from a portafilter to a fully automatic machine and moka pot.
Traditional illy box
Shortly after it was founded in 1933 by Francesco illy, the Italian coffee company developed a process for packaging and storing roasted coffee that is fresh in aroma. A few decades later, in the 1950s, illy introduced the first version of the tin can for home use - the rest is history. After more than 20 years, the current design has long since achieved international cult status. After the coffee is used up, it can either be used for other purposes or recycled.
