With a crazy idea and a lofty goal, two founders Luis Herget and Edgar Kirst got together and founded BLAEK Coffee in Hamburg in 2019. Their mission: to make specialty coffee accessible to everyone everywhere. That is, completely without a machine, prior knowledge or any equipment. Their solution: freeze-dried coffee. Perfect coffee enjoyment can be conjured up without scales, grinders or a specific water quality.

The two start-up founders Luis and Edgar met while studying in Denmark. The company's name BLAEK is the Danish word for ink - so it's just as jet black as first-class coffee. Moreover, the idea of the company is inspired by the Scandinavian way of life - simple and plain, high quality and aesthetic design.
BLAEK Coffee combines high quality of specialty coffee with high quality design, cool hipster image and simplicity of instant coffee.

This region in Colombia, with its tropical climate and hilly landscape, is ideal for growing coffee of the highest quality. Luis and Edgar value close relationships with the farmers. In addition, the beans are certified by the Rainforest Alliance.
