Caffè Roen: coffee roasting on the shores of Lake Garda
Caffè Roen was founded in 1979 in Pacengo di Lazise (VR) on the shores of Lake Garda. Sergio Bendinelli worked in the coffee industry before deciding to set up his own production. In his search for the perfect espresso, he used a small roasting machine at the beginning, which allowed him to develop the first coffee blends and start a small production for the catering industry.
Caffè Roen and Bendinelli
The roastery Caffè Roen also includes the roastery Bendinelli. With the brands Caffè Roen and Espresso Bendinelli, the company offers a wide variety of espresso blends. The blends are suitable both as pure espresso and in a wide variety of preparations with milk.
Green coffee selection
The careful selection of green coffees is based on many years of experience and knowledge. This is the only way to guarantee the production of excellent espresso blends of the highest quality. In addition, Caffè Roen has introduced a modern quality management system in order to be able to guarantee the quality of the products in a controlled manner and to keep the promise of delivering unique aroma quality.
Roasting
Caffè Roen's bean blends are roasted in a classic drum roaster at low temperature. This guarantees the full development of the aromas of each coffee bean. The roasting is carried out by qualified roasting masters who, with experience and expertise, can judge the roasting process of each blend.
The marketing of the coffee blends
The success of the company was achieved shortly after its foundation. The coffee blends are unique and customers were won over by product quality and coffee passion. With the first success came expansion. New premises in Affi in the province of Verona offered better conditions for housing a newer and more efficient roasting plant. With the new premises also came investment in even more coffee expertise and so Caffè Roen has its own coffee sensory and training centre.
