50 years and more "made in Italy" - Moak roasting company was founded in 1967 in Modica Sicily by Giovanni Spadola and celebrated its fiftieth anniversary in 2017. The city of Modica has been influenced by thousands of years of history. As Motyka, the city of Modica was part of the Greek Empire, followed by the Romans who called it Motuca and finally the Arabs who left their cultural heritage in Mohac. The company name "Moak" is thus a tribute to the Arabs, who are considered the discoverers of coffee. The cultural imprint of the region, the city and the people is reflected in the coffee creations of the Moak roasting company.
THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE SICILIAN ROASTERY
After the beginnings at the end of the 60's, the company developed continuously until today. At first only the Italian market could be served and today Moak is present with its products on all 5 continents. Over the years, the company has continued to expand and modernize. Never has the company identity been violated by new processes or marketing strategies and always the product "made in Italy" has been put in the foreground. The quality of the products is due to the careful selection of coffee beans and a roasting process that gives each coffee variety the optimal organoleptic characteristics.
