Three green coffees meet in the drum roaster...
The Tiga Terra from Coffee Circle is a blend, i.e. a mixture of green coffees of different origins that are roasted together. In this case, the Berlin roastery mixes Arabica coffee beans from Brazil and Indonesia with Robusta beans from Guinea. The trio mixes together to create a strong taste profile. The coffee beans from Brazil form a low-acid and pleasantly nutty-chocolate base. The Indonesian beans contribute spicy components and the Robusta beans from Guinea give the coffee a creamy texture and full body with tart notes of dark chocolate.
The origin of the Tiga Terra
Coffee Circle buys the green coffee used directly from retailers. Green coffee from the Daterra farm in Brazil accounts for the largest share of Tiga Terra. Here the Pascoal family grows coffee plants of various Arabica at an altitude of 1200 meters. The harvested coffee cherries are processed dry using the natural method.
The Berlin roastery Coffee Circle sets high standards in terms of social responsibility. In addition to the high purchase prices, €1 for every kilogram of coffee sold goes to social projects in coffee regions in Africa and South America.
