ALPS COFFEE: TOP QUALITY FROM BEAN TO CUP

The production of high-quality espresso is the specialty of the Schreyögg family in Parcines near Merano, South Tyrol. The company produces coffee with the knowledge that it is a very special craft that requires a lot of experience and care. Only through many years of experience and the necessary knowledge, the variety of coffee from the house Alps Coffee could be created.

TRADITION SINCE 1890

The traditional family business was founded in 1890 by Josef Schreyögg as a colonial goods store. He specialized to become a true coffee expert. Not closed to technical progress, Josef Schreyögg installed the first electrically driven coffee roasting machine in 1905 - an extremely modern and high-tech instrument for those times. This machine made the experimentation and later the art of roasting as well as blending.

SINGLE-VARIETY LONG-TERM ROASTING

To this day, the company's strength is its ability to accurately characterize coffee as a natural product. The taste of coffee is influenced by many different factors. Therefore, it is important to be able to assess the product in its raw state, to adjust the Alps Coffee roasting process to it, and then to evaluate and shape the taste. The roasting at Alps Coffee is done in a form of drum roasting, which is also called long-term roasting. The coffee beans are roasted for about 15 minutes at a maximum temperature of 230°C. This roasting process is called long time roasting. This process enhances the flavor and aromas, resulting in perfection in the cup. The knowledge and experience of the family tradition has been passed down from generation to generation over the past 130 years. Today, Peter Schreyögg is the third generation to lead the company.

SPECIAL VARIETY

Characteristic for the roastery is the blend ALPS COFFEE EXQUISIT, ALPS COFFEE DELIZIA and of course the ALPS COFFEE SCHÜMLI. In addition, the product range features Fairtrade and organic certified espressos. The entire coffee line of Alps Coffee is characterized first and foremost by its balance. Strictly selected green coffees from selected plantations and the refinement according to all rules of the "art of roasting" make the blends so special.
