You have probably heard of them: the Omni Roast coffees. They are currently very trendy and now there are more and more different Omni Roasts, which you can order quickly and easily online from us. Coffee beans that have been roasted in the way of an Omni Roast have a special characteristic: they offer you a great taste, regardless of whether they are prepared as espresso or as filter coffee. So there is no recommendation here for a specific preparation method, but rather a description of how the coffee might taste, depending on the preparation method used. If you decide to purchase an Omni Roast, the responsibility for finding your preferred brewing method is in your hands. Our Omni Roast range offers a selection of brands that is sure to have something suitable for you. Nicely, it is possible to discover different aromatic facets of coffee depending on the selected method of preparation. Until a few years ago, it was a widespread opinion in the coffee scene that the optimal roasting degree for the preparation of a good espresso can only be a dark roast, while for a good filter coffee only the lighter roasts come into question. In the meantime, this misconception is no longer so prevalent. More and more coffee fans are and are becoming aware that both the quality and the origin of the coffee bean, as well as the skill of the barista, play a major role in the preparation of a fantastic coffee.

WHAT'S BEHIND OMNI ROASTING

Traditionally, a distinction is made between three degrees of roasting: Light roast, medium roast and dark roast. The light roasts emphasize the acidity of the beans more, while the dark roasts have a more pronounced body. Roasting the coffee beans can look quite different in an Omni Roast. The basic idea is to slow down the roasting process, thus reducing the acidity of the coffee while improving the body and balance. The challenge, then, is to ensure that the acidity is not too dominant while also not over-extracting the coffee. In some cases, however, roastmasters set a goal of maintaining the same roast profiles. Thus, they leave it up to the baristas to create the perfect taste by means of adjustments regarding the amount of coffee used, brewing time or grind settings. If you decide to buy an Omni Roast, it is important that the beans used are ground extra fine to show good solubility. Buy an Omni Roast now and put your own barista skills to the test!
