In a city where just about everyone practices the art and passes it on to each other, the special talent and instinct of some stand out. The best example are the Rubino brothers. In 1963 they founded the company that gave birth to the Kimbo brand, which today has been absorbed into Kimbo S.p.A..
The Rubino brothers were not born industrialists, but coffee house owners and assisted their father in the business, bar and pastry store. The reputation of their espressos quickly spread outside their district. The extremely good image of the coffee attracted numerous espresso connoisseurs. The brand became better known and the owners kept coming up with new ideas to bring the pleasure of Neapolitan espresso to bars and homes all over the world.
