About the origin

Onkel Otto is probably the most classic filter coffee in the Kaffeesack range. 100 % Arabica beans from Guatemala are used for its roasting. The result of roasting with a medium degree of roasting is a taste that fans of good but classic filter coffee will love. In the cup there are prominent toasted notes reminiscent of dark chocolate and a full body with nuances of maple syrup and orange with a pleasant aftertaste. Onkel Otto can be flexibly prepared as a whole bean. Whether French Press, hand filter, filter coffee machine, AeroPress or even Cold Brew - Onkel Otto can do it! Onkel Otto is recommended for newcomers to the world of really good filter coffee. Onkel Otto is also very convincing as a gift.

Excellent roast

The Kaffeesack roastery was founded in 2014 and has now established itself as a reliable coffee company in the region. In addition to the roasting plant, the coffee all-rounders operate several brew bars and offer courses and seminars on all aspects of coffee. The fact that the Black Forest people have a lot of expertise and understand their craft is shown not least by the fact that Onkel Otto won gold in the tasting competition of the German Roasters' Guild in 2021, and rightly so!
