INSTRUCTION: PREPARATION FILTER COFFEE
Step 1: Grind filter coffee beans
It is best to grind the beans for your filter coffee machine yourself with an electric or manual grinder that has a disc or cone grinder. Alternatively, there are also filter machines with a grinder.
Step 2: Select the right amount of coffee for filter coffee
Measure out the appropriate amount of coffee. The rule of thumb is about 10 g per cup. Of course, you can vary the amount of coffee to suit your taste if you prefer your coffee stronger or weaker.
Step 3: Insert filter into filter holder
Place a suitable paper filter in the filter holder and fill in the ground coffee. Make sure that it forms an even flat surface.
Step 4: Fill water tank
Fill the water tank with fresh and cold tap water. If the drinking water in your region has a high degree of hardness, use a water filter or a particularly low-calcium table water.
Step 5: Switch on filter coffee maker correctly
Turn on the filter coffee maker and wait only a few minutes until the coffee is completely through. Due to the mixing filter, stirring the finished coffee is not necessary. The Moccamaster switches off automatically after 40 minutes.

GENERAL
The filter coffee maker has enjoyed great popularity since its invention in the mid-19th century. It allows you to prepare delicious coffee in a particularly uncomplicated way. What's more, a traditional coffee maker, where the water runs through a filter bag, allows you to make coffee in a more environmentally friendly way and at a better value for money than a capsule machine.
IN ITALIA / ALL‘ITALIANA
While filter coffee machines were largely unknown in Italy until a few years ago, they now have a small but growing fan community. In the meantime, renowned Italian manufacturers of fully and semi-automatic coffee machines, such as the well-known De'Longhi label, have also included coffee machines with filters in their product range.
