Illy composes their blend from 9 noble Arabica varieties, selected from the world's top harvests and masterfully combined. With this recipe, they ensure a harmonious taste as well as a full-bodied aroma in every single cup of coffee. The coffee beans from Illy in the decaffeinated variety are in no way different in quality from the caffeinated version you are familiar with. The medium roast of the beans is pleasantly balanced and ranges between strong and mild. With this coffee, you get a truly velvety pleasure that is also convincing when decaffeinated. It unfolds its full character in the taste and has chocolaty, caramel notes on the one hand and floral components on the other.
Italian roasting art
Also with the decaffeinated Arabica beans from Illy, you get the highest Italian roasting art with full aroma. The beans used are 100 % Arabica beans that have been roasted to a medium degree. The decaffeinated espresso impresses with its fine-pored crema and great aromas. The unmistakable Illy Blend retains its taste and aroma even in the decaffeinated version. This delicious decaffeinated espresso is accompanied by a sweet aftertaste and a caffeine content of no more than 0.1%.
Goodbye green, hello blue design
Until now, the packaging design for Illy's decaffeinated coffees was dominated by the colour green. Now that there has been a design change, a light blue is the colour of choice for decaffeinated enjoyment. The content and quality, however, remain first-class. The Illy coffee comes in a vacuum-packed metal can to ensure it stays fresh for a long time.
