Lucaffé's Mamma Lucia is a somewhat unusual coffee blend: it consists of 40 % Arabica beans and 60 % Robusta beans. The coffee impresses with its pleasantly spicy flavor and a malty note infused with chocolate, which comes into its own particularly well when used to make milk specialties.
A look behind the bean scenes
Arabica beans from Central and South America add the spicy aroma to Mamma Lucia. The notably high Robusta share of the small Indian cherry beans creates a solid yet silky smooth crema in a picturesque nougat brown. The aftertaste of the coffee is delightfully reminiscent of chocolate and malt. Especially for latte macchiato and cappuccino, this bean blend offers a brilliant base. The medium degree of roasting wonderfully brings out the full flavor of the coffee and gives it an elegant balance.
