The soul of a good coffee is love, passion and tradition. The craft, the selection of coffee provenances, the blending, the roasting and the grind determine aroma and taste. Coffee aroma and coffee quality are inseparable like identical twins.

THE FOUNDATION OF THE DANESI ROASTERY

Rome is the Colosseum, the Spanish Steps, St. Peter's Basilica or the Roman Forum. The Eternal City is a metropolis on the Mediterranean with a lot of history and which, like no other in the world, preserves works of art from all eras. Distinctive and unique like this city is also the Danesi roastery of Alberto Danesi. He founded it in 1905 and, as one of the first fragrant lovers, he shaped the coffee culture and the consumption of traditional espresso in Rome at the beginning of the 20th century. In 1933 Giovanni Danesi took over the business from his father and continued to expand it until 1990, when in turn his sons Alfredo and Roberto carried on the tradition. In the meantime, the company is managed by the fourth generation, by an exclusively female leadership.

THE ITALIAN ESPRESSO

Danesi Caffè is synonymous with tradition and passion. Danesi is committed to the culture of Italian espresso around the world. In Italy, the espresso, the "Caffè", is a nice secondary matter and an occasion for a short break. Espresso is usually drunk in cafés in the afternoon, right at the bar. Italians do not have an ESPRESSO MACHINE or a filter machine at home. In Italian kitchens, the most you'll find is a Mokka Express pot. The center of life is also not the house. Life takes place on the street, in the café, at work or on the terrace. In Italy, the PERFECT ESPRESSO is an art that belongs in the espresso bar, not in the kitchen next to the dishwasher or microwave. With this claim Danesi develops its product world and that we can speak of a coffee culture today, we owe not least to this tradition-conscious roastery.

ESPRESSO: INTANGIBLE CULTURAL HERITAGE

The Danesi company has joined the Community for the Protection of Traditional Italian Espresso. The Community was founded with the aim of protecting and promoting traditional Italian espresso coffee, above all by obtaining its recognition by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
The awareness of ecological growing conditions and social justice characterizes the collaboration with coffee farmers. Danesi is committed to the environment and biodegradable packaging materials. In everything that has accompanied the roastery over the years, the focus has always been on coffee enjoyment. All their actions flow into the passion to capture the aroma of coffee quality.
