PASSION FOR COFFEE SINCE 1929
With enthusiasm for unique coffee flavors, Vito Zichittella founded a small coffee roasting company in Marsala in 1929. Over the years, the business developed very successfully, so that in 1971 the company changed its name to a joint stock company. In 1977, production moved to larger premises. The distribution network was expanded, first nationally and later internationally. For more than 85 years, the Zichittella family has continued to run the company with the same passion and entrepreneurial spirit as its founder Vito.

Even today, the company imports its green coffee beans directly from coffee-producing countries, mainly from Central America and India. Careful selection of coffee qualities is a top priority. Today's production facilities are controlled by state-of-the-art software and supervised by qualified professionals. Thus, the interaction of experienced craftsmanship with the most modern technology results in a pure taste pleasure - genuine Italian espresso.
THE CREATION OF FLAVORS AND AROMAS
At Zicaffè, blending and roasting are always carried out with the utmost care, in order to guarantee customers a perfect coffee experience. These two phases of the production process are particularly important, as they allow the coffee to develop its unique character. The development of taste and aromas is achieved through careful roasting and blending of Arabica and Robusta beans. Roasting is done with hot air so that the beans are roasted evenly and gently. They are then cooled with cold air.
