This decaf espresso is made from 100 % Colombian Arabica beans and offers a sweet taste with hints of chocolate biscuit, cinnamon and dried fruit. Coffee Circle's Decaf Espresso is roasted in 35 kg batches for approximately 11:00 minutes with a final temperature of 215°C. Due to the light roasting, the wonderful aroma of the espresso is preserved and unfolds in a special way with every preparation. The Decaf Espresso from Coffee Circle is perfect for all those who love the taste of espresso, even decaffeinated. It is best prepared in a portafilter, fully automatic machine or in a stovetop pot.
The Unichaparral Cooperative
The Decaf Espresso from Coffee Circle comes from the Unichaparral cooperative in Tolima. Since Coffee Circle has been paying attention to this cooperative, the beans come from Tolima, Colombia. There, the coffee is grown at an altitude of almost 1700 metres. A total of 238 small farmers are involved in the cooperative. Here, great importance is attached to high-quality coffee already during the coffee cultivation and the harvest of the red coffee cherries.
Coffee Circle acts in a particularly socially conscious manner: The Berlin roastery pays fair purchase prices to the farmers and cooperatives and invests € 1 for every kilogram of coffee sold in social projects in the cultivation areas.
