Levelers and distribution tools have been very popular in the home barista sector for some time. With the Eureka Leveler with olive wood in a size of 58 mm, the manufacturer from Tuscany joins the suppliers of high-quality leveling tools. The even distribution of the ground coffee in the sieve is essential for a good espresso. Water always seeks the path of least resistance. If some areas in the espresso puck are less densely occupied with ground coffee or contain cracks due to lumpy ground coffee, so-called channeling occurs. This can be recognized by a shortened extraction time or with a bottomless sieve. With channeling, the water finds channels in the espresso puck that it can pass through more easily, causing too much water to flow at that point compared to the rest of the puck. Levelers are a simple aid to bring the ground coffee into shape before tamping. They are simply put on and rotated. Thanks to the wavy underside, you spread the ground coffee in an even shape with a perfectly smooth surface.

Easy to adjust and particularly elegant

The immersion depth of the Eureka Leveler can be set particularly easily. On the side of the immersing stainless steel part is a scale that can be used to read with millimeter precision how far below the sieve edge is leveled.
