LONG COFFEE: BETWEEN COFFEE CULTURE AND SCIENCE
DEVELOPMENTS OF A ROASTING COMPANY
In the heart of the Hochsauerland district of North Rhine-Westphalia, the roasting plant Güla Kaffee, in Medebach, was founded in 1959 under the roof of a former railroad wagon. In the second generation, the company was continued by Klaus Langen. After the founder Günther Langen withdrew from the operational business, the roasting company was subsequently renamed in 1997 and has since borne the name Langen Kaffee. The 3rd generation is preparing to continue the coffee roasting business with Leonard and Julius Langen.
ROASTING OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY COFFEE BEANS AND DELIVERY
The high-quality green coffee beans are roasted using a drum roasting process. A long and gentle roasting time of up to 20 minutes allows the full aroma of the beans to develop. The results are convincing: they are very digestible blends and unique in taste.
The LANGEN KAFFEE MALABAR as a trendy monsooned coffee as well as the LANGEN KAFFEE SCHÜMLI CAFÉ CREME are considered the pillars of the roastery. The company mainly supplies specialty stores, coffee shops and quality-oriented key accounts.
