MOUNT HAGEN: IT ALL BEGAN WITH THE DESIRE FOR ORGANIC QUALITY AND FAIRNESS
EYE LEVEL, RESPECT AND TRUST
Mount Hagen has not let the difficult conditions deter it from its goal. At over 1,500 meters under shade trees such as bananas and eucalyptus, the coffee beans are grown in small plantations, entirely without the use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides. Only the ripe coffee cherries are then harvested by hand. At eye level and with a lot of respect and trust, the Mount Hagen company works together with the regional coffee farmers and farm operators.

MOUNT HAGEN'S FORMULA: COFFEE = FUTURE
It assures coffee farms in Papua New Guinea of long-term purchase of beans at fixed prices. This leads to better living conditions, greater biodiversity, better quality soil and food. The close relationship between Mount Hagen and the farmers is eye-to-eye and respectful. Thus, the production of Mount Hagen coffee beans is fair. Fair for the environment, for the farmers and then for the customers.
13,101 KILOMETERS FROM PAPUA NEW GUINEA, THE BEANS ARE ROASTED IN HAMBURG
