The coffee beans are grown by a large number of small farmers on the Indonesian island of Sumatra. Through dry processing with exposure to sunlight, the coffee beans absorb flavour components of the pulp as well as the earth. The result is a coffee with a powerful richness and a concentrated, earthy-sweet aroma, as well as spicy hints of cinnamon and tropical woods.
