Fruity with notes of stone fruit
The Arabica beans for the Ethiopian Guji from wild coffee come from the Uraga and Oromia growing regions. After harvesting, the beans are processed wet and roasted with wild coffee to a medium degree. This gives the beans their wonderful aroma. In terms of taste, the Ethiopian Guji is fruity and floral, characterized by notes of stone fruit.
Optimal environmental conditions
The growing regions of Uraga and Oromia are home and livelihood for a total of around 400 farming families. They cultivate coffee bushes on small areas of around one hectare each. The coffee cherries of the Bourbon variety for Ethiopia Guji are grown at altitudes of around 2,200 m. There the coffee bushes grow under shady trees at average temperatures of 28 °C during the day and 15 °C at night.
