Coffee from Turin

Costadoro Extra is the most traditional and best-selling blend of Torrefazione Costadoro from the former Olympic city of Turin. Because this mixture of 90 % Arabica and 10 % Robusta coffee beans was the only variety for many years, it was unspectacularly called Caffè Costadoro after the name of the house itself, and since 2023 it has been renamed Costadoro Extra. Costadoro Caffe still roasts this variety according to the highest principles and quality criteria and makes no concessions or compromises when purchasing green coffee. For example, Torrefazione Costadoro uses a blend of the best highland coffee bean varieties from Central and South America for the extra.

At an even temperature

In order to combine the optimal properties of each individual bean variety into a perfect coffee, each variety is slowly roasted separately and in small batches at an even temperature in the rotary drum with the optimal degree of roasting. Each variety contributes to optimization, e.g. a variety for the fullness, the aromas, the perfect acidity, the fruity notes, the body, volume or the lasting spice and length.
