THE COFFEE ROASTERY WITH A VIEW OF THE ALPSPITZE / WETTERSTEIN MOUNTAINS

It all began in 1892 in Partenkirchen, the historic part of Garmisch-Partenkirchen known from the legendary New Year's ski jumping. Leonhard Panholzer founded a grocery store with his wife Maria, where he also traded in roasted coffee. For that time a rarity.

Quality and passion for coffee is passed down in the family from generation to generation. About 120 years later, inspired by his great-grandfather, Leonhard Wild founded the Wildkaffee Roasting Company together with his wife Stefanie. The first coffee roastery in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

RAW COFFEE RELATIONS

The roastery Wildkaffee has grown over the years, Josef Staltmayr assists with the roasting. Together they process the high-quality green coffees. Proximity to the coffee farmers is particularly important to the roastery. Wildkaffee maintains close and friendly contact with the farmers in the countries of origin - the company sources over 85% of its coffee from there. Regular visits to the coffee plantations enable the roastery to implement social and quality principles and find the best green coffees for its customers.

STATE-OF-THE-ART TECHNOLOGY MEETS EXPERIENCE

After the coffee beans arrive at the roastery, they are inspected and processed. The beans are roasted in a drum roaster with the most modern technology, so that excellent qualities can be guaranteed. The experience of the two roasters Leonhard Wild and Josef Staltmayr also plays a role in this process, of course. Only in this way can the individual and extraordinary taste nuances of the individual growing regions unfold and grant you a pleasant and perfect enjoyment in the cup.

In addition to tasting a wide variety of coffee specialties, you can immerse yourself in the world of Wildkaffee there since spring 2018. Look over the roast master's shoulder and learn more about the green coffees, the roasting of coffee or the various preparation methods - there is also a generous counter with brew bar for tasting the coffee specialties.
